Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with 3+ years of experience to strengthen our organization’s security posture. The ideal candidate will perform detailed threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability assessments while supporting ongoing compliance and documentation efforts. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical and documentation skills who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional IT and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor and analyze alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR tools to detect and respond to potential threats and anomalies.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Perform regular scans, risk analysis, and remediation tracking for systems and applications.
- Security Reporting: Document incidents, assessments, and investigations, ensuring reports are complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Security Awareness: Assist in conducting security training and awareness sessions for employees.
- Compliance & Governance: Support assessments against security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Top 18.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure timely remediation of security issues and alignment with compliance goals.
- Security Tool Management: Help configure and maintain tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 3–3+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and incident response workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Documentation: Strong writing and reporting skills for policies, procedures, and incident summaries.
- Compliance Understanding: Working knowledge of NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
