Overview
We are seeking a skilled Supplier Manufacturing Engineer with 3+ years of experience to manage supplier relationships and ensure consistent quality and efficiency across manufacturing operations. The role involves working closely with suppliers to drive process improvements, optimize production, and maintain compliance with company standards and engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality and consistency.
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to standards.
- Identify root causes of quality or process issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support process validation, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to process control, quality standards, and project deliverables.
- Partner with internal teams such as procurement, quality, and design engineering to address supplier-related challenges.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and drive improvement plans to enhance operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Manage multiple supplier projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Recommend process optimization strategies to reduce waste and improve production reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality, process engineering, or manufacturing support roles.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process control, quality systems, and inspection techniques.
- Proven experience in supplier management, auditing, and issue resolution.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project execution skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage supplier and cross-functional interactions.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience implementing process improvement or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Familiarity with risk analysis, corrective/preventive action (CAPA), and quality management systems.
